Nope, that's a bog-standard hosts file, alright.

(Mine has the unusual addition of ::1 localhost - maybe that's just a Vista thing though (or a glitch my end ^^))

Btw, I forgot to say before - I've recently been involved in updating some computers with SP3. Overall, the greatest success was to start with a clean install of XP (not necessarily a re-format though) and then do the SP3 upgrade.
This of course, involves backing stuff up and/or using the File and Settings Transfer Wizard.

This sounds exactly like my problem..... it tells me it can't find the DNS, but ONLY on my computer, the other computers hooked up to the same router have internet besides mine... it seems like guild wars may be the problem? I lag in guild wars i get error 7 and i lose internet...

i had dns errors for weeks tried loads of things so i backed all my stuff up and just reformatted my pc.it sucks but you wont have the problem
